The World Folkfest is a non-profit organization that heavily depends on the support of volunteers. The festival invites international performers to showcase their talents without any monetary compensation. These performers are responsible for their travel expenses to America, which can be expensive. Despite the cost and effort, these performers remain committed to bringing their culture to the families of Utah. Many travel thousands of miles to share music and dance with American audiences.

Love to Serve
Volunteer host families are an integral part of this festival. They provide performers with a genuine American experience, including a place to stay and meals, transportation to shows, and, above all, an American family to love. In exchange for their hospitality, host families receive complimentary ticket packages to the nightly shows, and they often develop lifelong friendships and bonds with the performers.
