🌍 Become a Host Family

Be part of one of the rarest cultural exchange experiences in the United States—right here in Utah Valley.

World Folkfest is proud to be one of only two CIOFF®-affiliated festivals in the U.S. that still offers international guests the chance to stay with local host families. Since 1986, this cherished Springville tradition has created lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories between Utah families and ambassadors from around the globe.

As a host family, you're not just offering a place to stay—you’re opening your home & hearts to the world.

Hosting provides families with a unique cultural opportunity to immerse themselves in global cultures, form lifelong friendships, and support a nonprofit community event that celebrates diversity, tolerance, and unity.

  • We ask host families to accommodate a minimum of 2 performers and provide a bed for each (pull out beds acceptable)

  • Please plan to provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for those you are hosting during their 7-day stay.

  • Host families coordinate with other host families for local transportation to and from shows, rehearsals, and outreach events.

  • We recommend that at least 1 adult from the household is available all 7 days of hosting.
